TIME FOR ABIA APC GOVERNORSHIPS CANDIDATE, DR. ERIC OPAH TO TROUBLESHOOT

The question of the undisputable governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Àbia State has finally been settled. The National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC has rested the controversy by declaring Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah (Oke Orji Àbia), the authentic governorship flagbearer of the party in the 2027 gubernatorial election.

Following the declaration by the National Working Committee of the APC, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh, a major contender in the governorship primary election with Dr. Eric Opah, has as a loyal party man accepted the decision and has since congratulated the candidates.

The action of the former Minister is highly commendable as it has ended the tantrums of the of the ruling Labour Party (LP) in the state.

Prior to this healthy development, Onyebuchi Emenanka, Governor Alex Otti Director General of Strategic Communication who said his work schedule is to keep the opposition parties uncomfortable and attack whosoever attacks his Principal (the learned gentleman is now an attack dog), has been making derogative remarks on his Facebook page against the Àbia APC and the person of Dr. Eric Opah.

Now that it is settled that APC has a credible, focused, serious, visionary, acceptable and popular governorship candidate, Onyebuchi Emenanka should pocket his pun and know that the battle line is drawn.

For Emenanka and his co-travellers, they ought to know that Dr. Eric Opah, who has made a success of all he laid his hands upon, is daring, resolute and is prepared to make history in the Àbia polity by retiring Governor Alex Otti after his first tenure.

All said, it now hehoves Dr. Eric Opah, the Àbia APC governorship flagbearer to before the campaign kicks off, to embark on troubleshooting tour with his campaign directorate. Aggrieved stakeholders of the party particularly Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh and others should be identified and dialogued with to soothe frayed nerves and forge a united, formidable and intimidating front in prosecuting the forth coming campaign.

There should be no delay in the peace move which will give impetus to the APC capturing the Àbia State seat of power.
