THE POSITIVE IMPACT OF ERIC OPAH FOUNDATION (EOF)

The life trajectory of Chief Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah (Oke Orji Àbia ) is characterized by gut, grit, discipline, diligence, purpose, prudence, compassion and and service. Altruistic, daring and a man of integrity, Dr. Opah’s passion for service is matchless and intentional, hence his devotion to the service of God and humanity.Innocuous, delightful and kind-hearted, he has been exceptional and unparalleled in rendering service for the good of all particularly, to the less privileged in the society.

A practicing Christian of the Anglican Communion, Dr. Eric Opah, an international business magnet and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Fortune Global Shipping and Logistics Limited, believes in the Biblical creed – “Blessed is he that giveth than he that taketh.”. For this reason and in total obedience to his Creator, the empathetic, humane and philanthropist of repute, ten years ago floated the ERIC OPAH FOUNDATION (EOF).

Primarily, the objective of the foundation is to raise leaders, empower individuals and transform communities. To achieve the mandate, the ERIC OPAH FOUNDATION focuses attention on mentorship, access to educational support as well as community development.

The mentorship scheme of the foundation is aimed at propping up purpose driven leaders by exposing them to well structured mentorship programs such as leadership seminars/workshops and personal development initiatives.

At the last count, the foundation has mentored thousands of young men and women. Many of the mentees have also mentored other young people, thereby raising a generation of influencial leaders of integrity and purpose.

Conscious of the fact education is the bedrock of human development and that of society at large, the Eric Opah Foundation through its educational access/support initiative has awarded scholarship to uncountable number of indigent undergraduates in tertiary institutions across the country. It has equally supported the academic pursuit of pupils and students in primary/secondary schools by availing them learning materials.

Thousands of pupils and students in rural communities from Isiala Ngwa North local government, Àbia State and beyond have benefited from the educational access/support of the foundation. The idea behind this noble cause is to ensure that indigent but intelligent young one’s are not denied access to education because of their under privileged family background.

In sustainable community development, the EOF devised a strategy of inclusivity whereby it collaborates community leaders to deliver interventions that are perculiar, relevant and transformative to each community. The out come of the foundation’s community based approach is that many have learned various skills and others economically empowered to set up small businesses. By its legacy of compassion and purpose, the ERIC OPAH FOUNDATION has continued to shape a future defined by opportunities, leadership and common good.

Since the foundation was established, Dr. Eric Opah, the 2025 recipient of The Sun Newspapers Entrepreneurship Award in recognition of his vision, resilience and uncommon excellence in entrepreneurship has committed huge resources to sustain the foundation. Expectedly, the EOF has impacted positively on the lives of a legion of people and communities in our clime.

Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah, a bold, courageous, daring and very successful international business mogul who has not failed in any venture he embarked upon, is today by the grace of God, the governorship candidate (hopeful) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Àbia State in the 2027 gubernatorial election.

A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute Logistics/Nigerian Ports and Terminal Management Academy of Nigeria, Dr. Opah based on his antecedent, general acceptability and massive support across Abia State is on his way to occupying the Abia State Government House come 2027.
