ABIA APC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE, DR. ERIC OPAH, THE TIGER KILLER

By Ngwafacts Media Reporters.

Electoral contest, the quest for elective office, is war of a sort. However, unlike conventional hostility, political battle is not prosecuted with weapons of mass destruction, grenades, guns, bombs, war planes and combatant soldiers. The strategies utilised in executing electoral warfare and winning elections by political parties and their sponsored candidates differ.

The tactics include a strong campaign structure, door-to-door campaign, media manipulation strategy, engaging religious leaders/organisations, personal branding, traditional campaign method, celebrity endorsement and lots more.

While armed conflict erupt between nations, political contest is fought by individuals under the platform of political parties. Effective deployment of the preceding plan of action by the contending candidates and political parties could guarantee their electoral success in an election. Extraneous factors such as divine intervention and myths may also play decisive role in the victory of a candidate at the polls.

For the record, Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah (Oke Orji Abia), the All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate in Abia State in the 2027 gubernatorial election, is an indigene of Mbubo, Umunna Nsulu, Isiala Ngwa North local government.

Mbubo with an estimated population of 7000, is a land of courageous, bold, fearless and valiant warriors who have never lost a battle and who disgrace the enemy. In order words, the land of nativity of Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah is the habitat of men of valour.

A powerful myth has it that in ancient times, dangerous animals such as hyena and tiger invaded and mercilessly attacked the people of Mbubo wreaking havoc. However, as mighty men in battle, Mbubo indigenes countered the onslaught of the fierce animals in a ferocious manner. They killed the hyena in their numbers and that ended their attack on the villagers. And sensing that the same fate on the hyena would befell it, the tiger surrendered and entered into a pact with the people in order not to be slain. Accordingly, till the present time, the chest portrait of the tiger adorn the the parlour of the Mbubo man as a symbol of his conquest of tiger. The people do not also eat tiger meat.

If myth depicts extraordinary event involving gods or superhuman being, the above narrative then presents itself as authentic and factual, without yearning for validation about the Mbubo man. Against the backdrop of the foregoing, and given that some influential and unseen elements control the affairs of men and the land, both the State Working Committee (SWC) of Abia APC and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party deserve commendation for their best decision in fielding Dr. Eric Chinemeucheya Opah, the tiger killer as the governorship flag bearer in the upcoming gubernatorial election.

With the strong campaign structure of the APC solidly behind him, coupled with his pedigree as a high flyer as well as his charisma and grassroots support, Dr. Eric Opah, a good master of the times/seasons, not known to play second fiddle, is poised by the grace of God to make history in the Abia polity.

Notwithstanding the media manipulation strategy and the false pretense of the incumbent Government, Chief Eric Opah, the brave warrior, is very determined to knock him out at the polls, thus making him a one term governor.
