Engr. Enyinnaya Chima Nwafor, front line Governorship Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Abia State has revealed that Umunneochi holds potentials of being the revenue resource centre of Abia State and must be treated with utmost care as a beautiful bride.
Engr. Nwafor made this revelation while addressing PDP members, stakeholders and supporters in Umunneochi Local Government Area, as part of his wide consultations with relevant stakeholders with the sole objective of intimating them of his policies and programmes.
The Abia serial entrepreneur disclosed that the information available to him shows that there are appreciable mineral deposits and flourishing Agricultural opportunities in the Local Government that would, if properly managed, translate to huge revenue generation and ultimately guarantee deployment of such funds to the development of Umunneochi. This data, according to him, “identified Umunneochi people as peace loving, enterprising, hospitable and kindhearted”.
An obviously determined Engr. Nwafor said in unequivocal terms that, “we have programmes that would ensure that areas where resources are derived get adequate attention such that while we try to make up for the expected environmental degradation, we will ensure that communities are developed as compensation for laying the golden egg”.
The enterprising Founder of the Most Supportive Organisation, Each One Aid One Foundation, disclosed further that he proposes a government that would be miles away from “business as usual”, with education, health agriculture, infrastructure and rural development forming part of the major planks of the government predicated on goodwill of the people. These programmes, he insisted will not foreclose adequate attention that would be paid to homeland security and welfare.
Responding, the Stakeholders appreciated the youthful Industrialist for being resourceful enough to identify critical development challenges peculiar to Umunneochi. The array of supporters unanimously applauded Engr. Nwafor for his wide consultations which have increased the bond and cohesion amongst party members. The stakeholders assured the 46 year old Engr. Nwafor of their continued support as he seeks the mandate of the party to flag their flag.
So far, Engr. Nwafor has had fruitful interactions with PDP stakeholders, members and his supporters in Aba North, Aba South, Ukwa East, Ukwa West, Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Isuikwuato and Umuiahia North
