GOVERNOR OTTI’S VICTORY IN ISIALA NGWA GUARANTEED WITH THE HIGH PERFORMANCE OF RT HON GINGER ONWUSIBE

Ever since his entrance into active politics in 1999 when he was elected councilor that represented the then Amapu Ntigha Ward 5 in Isiala Ngwa North Legislative Council, RT. Hon. Ginger Obinna Onwusibe (Onwa Ntigha) has acquainted himself as a tested and trusted servant leader with proven record of exceptional performance.

In other words, his trajectory in politics has been marked by effective, quality and impactful service delivery to the people. Perhaps, the wealth of experience garnered by Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe as Councilor and later as the Leader of the Legislative Council, Transition Committee Chairman/ The Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North LGA, and later elected again by his people as a state Legislator in the Abia State House of Assembly has equipped him very well in the 10th National Assembly where he represents the good people of Isiala Ngwa North/South Federal Constituency.

Confident, focused, hardworking, goal and achievement oriented, the grassroot politician has been upbeat and at home with his constituents in the discharge of his statutory function as a federal law maker.

Unarguably, in almost three years in the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe has offered matchless representation for Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency since 1999, making his achievements unparralleled in the anals of the federal Constituency.

The House Committee Chairman on Financial Crimes in addition to the efficient execution of his legislative functions, has also demonstrated unmitigated commitment to the welfare and empowerment of his constituents as well as provision of massive infrastructure and transformation of the federal constituency.

So far, the accomplishments of this vibrant, articulate and visionary law maker are innumerable and speaks volume. A glean on his activities at the Green Chamber reveals that Rt. Hon. A first timer, he has sponsored many bills and motions to his credit, while two of his bills have been passed into law, while he continue to champion for the creation of Aba state.

*. An urgent motion to investigate the shooting of one of his constituents, Mr. Nkemjika Nwogu by Nigerian Navy personnel on February 15, 2024.

*. A motion to review down ward the exorbitant tuition fee at the Nigerian Law School

*. A motion seeking a political solution to the incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his release to restore peace in the Southeast region

Beyond legislation, Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, an altruistic leader and a political juggernaut has been intentional in the attraction of basic amenities of life to his people, as he drives developments that has far reaching objectives and impacts on his Constituents.

*. A mini stadium with perimeter fencing at Obuba Primary School;

*. Remodeling of Ginger Sam Amanaha mini stadium with two additional spectator’s stands;

*Garri/palm oil processing plant at Ikem Nvosi;

*. Market stalls at Ahiankwo-Emeole-Okpuhie,

*. Isiahia – Umunka – Umuogele – Nsirimo Road linking Isiala Ngwa North and Umuahia South local government areas including other road projects attracted by him.

A believer in human capital development, entrepreneurship and academic growth, Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe has remained steadfast in empowering his constituents. High points of his empowerment programme are as under listed:

*. Scores of youths have been trained on Information and Communication Technology, soap making, cream production, paint manufacturing and other skills.

*. Farmers were trained on modern farming techniques with fertilizers and improved seedlings/cassava stems doled out to them.

*. Five hundred undergraduates in tertiary institutions across the country benefited from bursary award of ₦50,000:00 each, including the disbursement of another ₦50,000:00 to a select 1000 constituents from different communities of the federal constituency.

*. Educational materials were distributed to pupils and students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions.

*. Assorted food items – rice beans, garri, vegetable oil and tomatoes including materasses, blankets, roofing sheets, bags of cement and cash were distributed to constituents.

*. Free medical outreaches have at different times been extended to the constituents.

*. Massive EMPOWERMENT of 1236 constituents across North & South who benefitted from various items.

An embodiment of fairness, equity and justice, the distribution pattern of the projects and empowerment items in the 20 Wards of the federal constituency by Rt. Hon. Ginger Onwusibe is even and inclusive.

The import of our analysis is that by the superlative performances of the federal lawmaker, Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency is highly “OTTIFIED.”. In effect, Governor Alex Otti’s victory in Isiala Ngwa Federal Constituency in the 2027 governorship election is guaranteed.
