APOSTLE CHIBUZOR CHINYERE AND HIS PHENOMENAL PHILANTHROPIES

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Gift Chinyere is an altruistic minister of God. He is very compassionate and most charitable.

The philanthropic gestures of this man of God is phenomenal and worldwide. Of a truth, the goodwill of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who is also His Royal Majesty (HRM), King of Ohanku autonomous community, Ukwa East local government of Abia State, is uncommon, incomparable and knows no bound.

Certainly , the OPM may not be the richest church in Nigeria, even as its founder, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere definitely is not the wealthiest Minister of God in the country. This notwithstanding, OPM and the Overseer from available records rank as the most generous Ministry and Minister of the gospel in our clime.

Ever since Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere founded the OPM Foundation, a humanitarian arm of the Church, he has through the foundation been giving succour to innumerable indigent and less privileged people in Nigeria and abroad.

As charity is said to begin at home, the foundation way back in 2010, started a Free Training Centre at Elele Prison, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, headquarters of OPM. Many prisoners as well as Prison Warders have benefited from the programme.

The foundation also reconstructed the Ikuorie Comprehensive Secondary School, Ohanku in Ukwa East local government area of Abia State. The school which has been dilapidated for more than 10 years was equipped with computers and supplied with a generator.

Simultaneously, free Nursery and Primary Schools are operated in Ohanku,Abia State and at four different locations in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where children of the poor are given the opportunity to acquire basic education. Text and exercise books, school uniforms, sandals, launch and other essential needs are provided at no cost to the pupils in the air conditioned schools equipped with laboratories.

Honoured as the Most Humanitarian Pastor of the Year by the Association of Field Reporters and Pillar of Hope by the National Council of Ndoki Chiefs, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, a firm believer in human capital development, has through the foundation awarded uncountable university scholarships to students at home and overseas.

More than 6000 Nigerians have been trained at the. foundation’s Multi-Purpose Skills Acquisition Centre, Port Harcourt in oil and gas related and sundry vocations.

The foundation has equally built housing estates at Rumuokwurushi, Rumuoigbo and Aluu areas, Rivers State and constructed two bedroom bungalows for widows. Occupants of the three housing estates are living therein without paying a dime in rent.

Public spirited, open handed young and energetic Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere who will be 51 on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, has extended his benevolence to children suffering from autism and down syndrome because he believes that there is ability in every disability. And like his other selfless services to mankind, the 100 percent Free Autistic and Down Syndrome School, the first of its kind around, was established with tithes and offerings from OPM Church.

Already, an autistic Youth Corper has been posted to the school for his national service. There is no doubt that the deployment of the autistic Youth Corper to the school will boost the morale of the children.

In same order, an OPM All Girls Free Technical College managed by the foundation has introduced and availed the students free boarding facilities. Every item including feeding, boots, coverall, lab coat, School uniforms, bags, once a month free shopping and so forth, are provided for the students.

For his outstanding philanthropies, Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere has earned numerous international and national awards. Among the awards are; honourary doctorate degree in Theology from Freedom University and Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, USA, honourary degree in Illusions and Evangelism from the School of Ministry and Mentor Academy, Houston, Texas, USA, Fearless Preacher of the Year 2013 by Good News Magazine, Most Philanthropic Man of God by Weekly Watch Newspaper and Man of Great Vision by the National Union of Ndoki Students.
