BREAKING NEWS: ABIA FREE MEAL PROGRAM TEAM ADOPTS CHIEF OKEY AHIWE AS THEIR CONSENSUS GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE IN THE MARCH 11TH ELECTIONS

The Abia Free Meal Initiative Team have unanimously adopted Chief Okey Ahiwe as their sole governorship candidate in the March 11th Governorship election.

Speaking during an enlarged meeting of the group held at the Group School Eziama Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, the Program Manager, Abia Primary School Lunch Program, Elder Gabriel Ahuruonye disclosed that the adoption is based on Chief Ahiwe’s antecedents, administrative acumen and proven track records in all offices he had held sway in the past.

Elder Ahuruonye while describing Chief Okey Ahiwe as a dogged, humble and pragmatic leader who’s contributions towards the smooth running of the program in the state cannot be overemphasized also assured him of their total support and massive votes in the forthcoming general elections.

Responding, the People’s Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Chief Okey Ahiwe while appreciating the Program Manager and the Abia Free Meal Initiative Team for the quality work they are doing in Primary Schools across the state assured that he will not downsize Abia workforce but will ensure continuity and better policies that will help enhance the program more effectively in the state if elected Governor.

Chief Ahiwe further thanked Abians for their unwavering support and commitment towards actualizing his mandate as well as stressed the need for more concerted efforts in actualizing a landslide victory for the party at the polls.

Contributing, the Director General of the State PDP Central Campaign Council, Chief Chinedum Elechi and the spokesperson of the campaign council, Chief Uzo Azubuike charged the team to remain focused and more committed in their bid to deliver Chief Okey Ahiwe and the party’s House of Assembly candidates at the polls.

The meeting which featured prayers and goodwill messages had the 17 LGA Education Secretaries and Coordinators of Abia Primary School Lunch Program in attendance.
