DON EZENWA NWANKWO, A SCULPTURE BEARER WHOSE DESTINY ALIGNS WITH THE VISION OF ABIA SOUTH PEOPLE

Professor May Ifeoma Nwoye in her book, “Oil cemetery”, vividly spoke about oppression, subjugation and marginalization of a society or people.
In that literary piece, the author told a story about a people whose fate was not fair to a people highly improvised by the system and their leaders. A society that was visibly endowed with human and material resources yet society kept them away from the scheme of her benefits until nature availed such a society a savior who took up leadership for the liberalization of his people.

Literally, there is a widely used adage amongst the Igbo people of eastern Nigeria that states ‘’ Nwa eze adighi efu na mba’’ which means that the identity of a prince cannot just be mistaken in a far land’’,

Don Ezenwa Nwankwo as history puts it appears to be one of the best amongst the few eminent Abians and Abia South citizens who have consistently shown commitment, passion for service and willingness to represent the ordinary and the helpless citizen, as he has exhibited severally while discharging various responsibilities that has been entrusted to him in the line of service.

Meanwhile, it is important to note that the Aba born business man from Osusu ward 4 in Aba North LGA, had travelled round the world to get the best of education, exposure and technical skills required for effective representation at the senate for Abia South senatorial zone.

He was a pioneer member of UNCP and PDP respectively. He then contested for Aba North & South Federal Constituency in 2017, under the platform PDP and won the primaries but was substituted by the then president Olusegun Obasanjo because of inter- party crises that rocked Abia Chapter of the party.

He has technical partners that are willing to offer assistance to Abia south people via scholarship, skill acquisitions, foreign placement of talented sportsmen and women into various international clubs sides. Training of Nurses, health workers to revive the near death health sector in Abia to a functional status.
