THE MARCH TO SALVAGE ABIA STATE IN 2023, ENGR ENYINNAYA NWAFOR AS A BEACON OF HOPE

Abia, since its creation has not been fortunate in the area of governance. It’s been one gory tale after another. As at last count, the state is a mere shadow of itself. These past years have been years of the locust as the huge resources received from the Federation account, donor agencies, loans and internally generated revenues do not correspond with the capital infrastructures and development in the state.

We live today in a state where workers are owed several months and years of their wages and pensions without tangible reasons adduced for these arrears.

It is now a government of the few for the few by the few, with infrastructural decay being our trademark. We are now a laughing stock in the comity of states, with our debt profile on the steady increase. Abia might collapse if this tide is not nipped. We can’t pretend otherwise.

No state thrives, develops or succeeds in the light of the above-mentioned anomalies. That explains why The Abia State is in dire search of a man with the requisite capacity and capability to bring our Dear State from its current woods.

The man Engr. Sir, Enyinnaya Nwafor (KSC), the Governorship Candidate of YPP Abia State for 2023, at this point comes to mind.

Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor, the Osisioma Ngwa born Engineer, Philanthropist, astute administrator and political juggernaut, is the first Son of late Dr Chima Nwafor, a two-time Deputy Governor of Abia State. His mother, Dame Gladys Nne Nwafor, retired at the topmost level of her distinguishing career as a Public servant.

A trained Electrical and Electronic Engineer from Federal University of Technology (Futo), Owerri, a knight of St Christopher of the Anglican Communion, Chairman and CEO, of Tunnel End Investment Ltd which he founded in 2008.

His N.G.O, “EACH ONE AID ONE FOUNDATION” has become a household name within and outside Abia, the philosophy behind the establishment of “Each One Aid One foundation” was a deliberate attempt to share the TUNNEL END profit with the poorest of the poor, the vulnerable and indigents in the society.

Each One Aid One, in no particular geographical, political or religious spread has inadvertently become a beacon of hope for the depraved widow, indigent student, hopeless entrepreneur, the public servant grappling with poor welfare and some organisations battling with vicissitudes of a harsh economic climate in the country.

A self-made man, who does not believe or belong in the category of godfatherism, if given the opportunity, we are optimistic that he will translate our collective dreams into full realities through his vast and unlimited contacts, connections, correspondences and ideas to create wealth for Abians and make it an economic destination hub.

Engr Enyinnaya Nwafor, no doubt enjoys a dose of goodwill which spreads across the three senatorial zones of the State, with trust, transparency, accountability and honesty being his watchword and middle name, the major attribute that has seen him through in all he does.

It is on the strength of the above intimidating record that this beacon of hope has accepted the Clarion call by Abians both at home and in Diaspora for the redemption of the soul of Abia State.

In the words of Dante “The hottest place in hell is reserved for those who remain neutral in times of moral conflict”.

After all, he who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it.

We must not and can no longer remain fencers and neutralists. We must passionately join in this rescue and redemption mission of our dear sinking State, and Engr (Sir) Enyinnaya Nwafor is our collective and irrevocable choice come 2023.
