Young Jr posits, “I am not anxious to be the loudest voice or the most popular, but I would like to think that at a crucial moment, I was an effective voice of the voiceless and an effective voice of the hopeless”, hence Prior to the decision of Abia PDP to zone its gubernatorial ticket to Abia Central and Abia North senatorial Districts, few of our people had succumbed to pressure from the powers that be for the Abia central senatorial and the House of Rep seats, which are due to Isiala Ngwa North be zoned to other sister LGAs, A decision that was then challenged by few conscious politically minded individuals from various political divide.

Their argument was anchored on the need for Ndi Isiala Ngwa North to trade the Abia Central Senatorial seat And that of the Federal House of Representative Tickets to other sister LGAs in order to get their supports for their Governorship race.

Today, the tide seems to have turned, as Ikwuano/ Umuahia parades the APC Senatorial Candidate, APC House of Reps Candidate, and APC Governorship Candidate, along side a minister designate.

With Ikwuano/Umuahia parading the above Candidates and personalities, it is now obvious that PDP would hardly get any tangible vote from there and the PDP Candidate for Senate which is from Ikwuano/umuahia will as well be counting on the votes from Umunneato Ngwa extraction of Abia Central to win his election. What a political blunder that is about to be committed by the PDP.

Similarly, the body language of our brothers from Abia North (The Old Bende Division) suggests that the Governorship election is now a free contest for all, and Ndi Isiala Ngwa North LGA should be wise enough Not to throw away the Senatorial and House of Representative seats to any sister LGA in order to get their supports for Governorship ticket which has remained uncertain.

As an integral part of Abia Central Zone, they can and should equally contest for the governorship seat as a right, with Prof E. Uche Ikonne leading.

IT WILL BE A POLITICAL BLUNDER AND NAIVETY TO TRADE OUT THAT WHICH THEY ALREADY HAVE AS A RIGHT, FOR AN UNCERTAIN POSITION

It is even on record that a Local government can hold both Governorship seat as well as Senatorial seat, as in Obingwa currently. (Gov Ikpeazu and Sen Abaribe)

Similarly you also have Umuahia North enjoying both the senatorial seat and the house of Assembly seats in a joint Abia Central Zone of two divides made up of Umunneato and Ikwuano/Umuahia. (Sen T.A Orji & Hon Chinedu Orji)

The present occupant of the Senate, Senator TA Orji is from Ikwuano/Umuahia zone and it is only natural that the next person to take over should come from Isiala Ngwa North LGA and by extension umunneato Ngwa zone.

Instructively, Chief Chuku Wachuku is the only Senate Aspirant from Ụmụnne atọ Ngwa zone contesting for Abia Central senatorial seat on the platform of YPP and we mustt vote for him.

On the other hand, Isiala Ngwa North LGA parades an avalanche of Candidates on various political platforms contesting for House of Reps, which includes Chief Ginger Obinna Onwusibe (Onwa Ntigha) Labour party, Barrister Chijioke Chukwuemeka Ikpo (Nwachief) APC, a very high profile individual with great antecedent in politics and community service and Hon Lucky Nwogu of the YPP, founder, North &South Alliance
Political Structure.

Hon Achilihu Destiny had wanted to contest for federal house of Reps but had to jettisoned his ambition to support his political principal, Chief Chuku Wachuku who is running for Senate in YPP-a sacrifice he would never regret.

With the lines of Dr Alex Otti as Governorship candidate and Hon Darlington Nwokocha all in Labour party, it is unfortunate that PDP will not get much vote again from Isiala Ngwa South LGA as anticipated before they zoned the house of Reps ticket to them. WHAT A POLITICAL BLUNDER?

This is a wake up call for Ndi isiala Ngwa North that we are due for the Senate and House of Reps and can as well win the Governorship election in 2023.

He that will come to equity must come with a clear hand
