A PDP chieftain in Abia State and the Abia central senatorial seat hopeful in 2023, Chief Chuku Wachuku has expressed displeasure at the clandestine move being made by some politicians from isiala Ngwa North to cede the 2023 Abia central senatorial seat to sister local government areas in other to negotiate for Governorship position, saying that such a move will be politically destructive, injurious and suicidal.
Chief Wachuku, who goes with the chieftaincy title of Uri chindere 1 of Ngwa land made his feelings known in a recent monthly meeting of Nsulu Youths Forum for equity of the people’s Democratic party (PDP), charged his Nsulu kinsmen to be thorough and total in their quest and demand for political offices that will be due to isiala Ngwa North come 2023, adding that history will not be kind to them if they fail to make the right political agitations and negotiations today, and reminded them that power is never to be toyed with, no matter what, insisting that he will never back down on his quest to represent Abia central senatorial zone at the Red chambers by 2023, recounting his successes within his short time of consultations.

He expressed satisfaction at the level of support and goodwill he’s been receiving from party’s stakeholders and delegates, describing his ambition as God’s ordained.
Chief wachuku told his kinsmen that his aspiration for Senate Abia Central would in no way jeopardize the Governorship aspiration of the Local Gov’t.
He recalled how Obingwa LGA held Senate and Governor in the same Senatorial zone at same time, Umuahia held Governor and Senate in same Abia Central in the past, and now Umuahia North LGA is holding Senate and Speaker zoned to Abia Central, and heavens is still standing. He explained that Senate is a zonal issue and has nothing in common with the Governship ticket of the Party. Isiala Ngwa North LGA is overdue to produce next Senate for Abia Central.
Chief Wachuku used the occasion to urge all eligible voters to ensure they acquire their permanent voter’s card, saying that with the amended electoral act, it’s crystal clear that the era of political malpractice is over, hence every vote, going forward will certainly count, and made case for the party to give all aspirants intending to fly the flag of the party in the 2023 general Elections a level playing ground.
He therefore commended the Nsulu Youths forum of the people’s Democratic party for their new found unity of purpose, commitment and dedication, and urged them not to relent, assuring that they can always count on his support.
Recall that in the last few months, several groups have been pressurizing Chief Chuku Wachuku to run for Senate Abia central in 2023, a seat that is widely believed should be unarguably zoned to isiala Ngwa North LGA, a move the U.S trained economist and the former National Director of NDE have since succumbed and budged to.
