THE NEED TO RETAIN THE POLITICAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN ISIALA NGWA NORTH LGA AND ISIALA NGWA SOUTH LGA

The Abia State Coordinator of OSINBAJO VOLUNTEERS MOVEMENT 2023, Hon Achilihu Destiny has reiterated the need for the power brokers and Political Stakeholders to retain and respect the political agreement and understanding in the zoning arrangement of political office of the the seat of the Federal House of Representatives seat which had existed between the jtwo local government areas for political stability.

The Isiala Ngwa North born Political Strategist and grassroot mobilizer made this known to news men on Saturday 29th day of January, 2022 after a consultative meeting of OSINBAJO VOLUNTEERS MOVEMENT Abia State Chapter in Umuahia, stated that the Federal Constituency belongs to the two Local Government Areas (two brothers) and used the occasion to go down memory lane on how it has existed since the return of democracy in 1999 was known as one term, with Sir. Chimaobi Nwakanma from Isiala Ngwa North taken the first shot, adding that any attempt to twart the arrangement may lead to a political deadlock.

The Youth advocate for good governance who then urge everyone jostling to run for the FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES from Isiala Ngwa South LGA to have a re – think as such ambition will not see the light of day, maintained that natural justice demands that the office be moved to Isiala Ngwa North since the current occupant, Hon. Darlington Nwokocha is from Isiala Ngwa south.

Asking why he wants the office of the FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES to move to Isiala Ngwa North LGA, the Former Principal Officer of Isiala Ngwa legislative Council said, that the issue is a well established understanding between the two brothers and should be maintained for the sake of equity, fairness and justice, as according to him,
Posterity will judge us by our actions and inactions today. Those our political sage and opinion leadership who in their wisdom established such rotation of power between the two brothers did so for our own benefits. “For record purposes, I want to say that Ndi Isiala Ngwa North LGA having shown commitment to the bond of brotherhood they share with Isiala Ngwa South LGA, we are now ready to produce the member federal house of Representatives for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, Senate for Abia Central senatorial District and even the Governor of Abia State”.

When asked his position on the Governorship seat of Abia State, He said that the agitation for power to move to Umunneato in Abia Central senatorial District is in order.

” Our people are asking that opportunity been given to them to do another 8 yrs to complete the 16 yrs done by the Old bende division of the State.

The Political juggernaut also bared his mind on the issue concerning the Senate seat for Abia Central senatorial District.

According to him Ndi Isiala Ngwa North LGA have waited so long while supporting the other of his brothers from Umunneato, like Osisioma Ngwa LGA. when it was their turn we supported them to produced Senator Nkechi Nwaogu who went to Senate for two times (2 terms). We supported Senator Dr, Bob Nwanunu from Isiala Ngwa South LGA and voted massively for him and for me it is only natural for these two brothers from Umunneato to join forces with us (Ndi Isiala Ngwa North LGA) to produce the next Senator for Abia Central senatorial District in 2023.

The Newly Appointed State Coordinator for OSINBAJO VOLUNTEERS MOVEMENT then concluded by urging political Parties to respect this agreement by zoning their Federal House of Representatives and Senate ticket to Isiala Ngwa North LGA.

He then use the opportunity to asked everyone eligible adult to go register and get Voters card which is their strength to vote and make change in 2023.
